A Line in the Sand, is an ongoing series of photographs that investigates notions of border politics, accessibility, secrecy, intimacy, and the complexities of human nature. These images were made following the borders between USA-Mexico and Canada-USA. Over the course of two years, I have been exploring the border cultures and cities through Alamogordo, New Mexico-El Paso, Texas, United States; Ciudad Juárez, Mexico-El Paso, Texas, United States; Windsor, Ontario, Canada-Detroit, Michigan, United States; Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada-Niagara Falls, New York, United States; Derby Line, Vermont, United States-Rock Island, Quebec, Canada; and Hart Island, New York, United States.
