A Line in the Sand, is an ongoing series of photographs that investigates notions of border politics, accessibility, secrecy, intimacy, and the complexities of human nature. These images were made following the borders between USA-Mexico and Canada-USA. Over the course of the year, I am continuing to explore the border cultures and cities through Alamogordo, New Mexico-El Paso, Texas; Ciudad Juárez, Mexico-El Paso, Texas; and Windsor, Ontario-Detroit, Michigan. I am interested in blurring the lines between fiction and non-fiction, barriers that are real and imagined, and the existing tensions in border areas.
